7^th/8^th Grade Busch Gardens Field Trip

Where: Busch Gardens, Tampa Bay

When: Thursday, May 29^th, 2025

Departure: 7:30 AM      Return: approximately 7:30 PM

Cost: $100 for student       $100 for chaperone

- Cost includes transportation on a Charter bus and admission to Busch Gardens

- ADD ONS:

* Include a meal package, all-day dining and snack, for an additional $50. (Total cost = $150)

* If a student or chaperone is a pass holder, the cost is $40 for transportation. No private  

   transportation is allowed by students or chaperones.

- Students who sold 10 or more gold cards during the fall fundraiser will receive $40 off the cost of their    

  field trip package.

How to Pay: There are three ways to pay this year: Cash, Check payable to PCMS, or Credit Card through the PCMS website.  Partial payments may be made from January to April. The final payment is due April 19^th, 2024. A $20 partial payment is needed to secure your spot on the trip.

Where and When to Pay: Money collections will take place in M-120 (8^th Grade) and G-2 (7^th Grade) from 8:50 AM to 9:10 AM.

Dates are as follows:

January 7^th – 13^th

February 10^th – 14^th

March 10^th – 14^th                     

April 7^th – 11^th

Permission Slips: The permission slip needs to be signed by a parent or guardian and at least two emergency telephone numbers are required. Permission slips are to be returned to Mrs. Linneweber (8^th grade) in M-120 and Mrs. Lee (7^th grade) in G2.

Chaperones: Parents/Guardians who would like to chaperone the trip must become a Level 2 Volunteer through the District. Level 2 Volunteers must be at least 21 years of age, pass a background check, and complete fingerprinting. Once all District requirements are met, chaperones are accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Chaperones will be responsible for a group of 4-8 students and must remain with their group at all times. Please contact Mrs. Linneweber or Mrs. Lee if you would like to chaperone and will have a background check and finger printing done.

Other info: It is imperative that your child arrives to school on time (7:30 AM) the day of the field trip. If you or your student miss the bus, there will be NO refunds. Your student must be picked up on time (Approx.. 7:30 PM) from PCMS. Students are responsible for their money and any other personal belongings.

DISQUALIFICATIONS: Beginning March 24^th, 2025, students who receive at least 1 full day of ISS/OSS will NOT be permitted to attend. In addition, students who owe credits, have excessive absences, or based on administrators’ discretion may also be denied from attending the trip.

If you don’t have your volunteer badge you will need to apply through the county as a level 2 volunteer. It is under ‘Job Opportunities” Click – “View Open Positions”. Scroll down and Search for ‘Level 2 Volunteer’. Complete the job application and submit. Once you have completed the application, the county will reach out about fingerprinting. Please do NOT complete fingerprinting before applying with the district, fingerprinting must be set up within the application for Level 2 Volunteer clearance.
